I would not recommend living here. Here is what I wish someone had told me before I signed a lease: 1. It is LOUD. I was on the 4th floor and could hear EVERYTHING outside. This included extremely loud garbage trucks every morning at 3am, parties on balconies, loud music coming from above you or outside, even people walking on the street below you (you can hear conversations! That is how thin the walls are). I would sleep with a white noise machine and ear plugs some nights and it still didn't help. 2. My car was damaged in the parking garage. It cost me a LOT to fix it, and management did not care whatsoever. Parking is expensive to begin with, and I didn't feel safe in that garage after that happened. 3. It is expensive and absolutely not worth the price. You can find something better for half the price. Also, prices went up from 2017-2018. 4. I'm going to mention how loud it is again... because it really is just terrible. Walls are paper thin; your upstairs neighbors might as well be bowling 24/7. 5. Don't be fooled by the amenities. They pull you in by their "newly renovated" gym, movie theater, and game room. You're already paying for a gym membership with the corec... and I didn't use the latter two amenities once. Again, it just is not worth the price in my opinion Also, don't trust the purely positive reviews. They pay their residents to write reviews. Pros... location is great and maintenance staff is quick to respond to issues like changing a light bulb. UPDATE: After contacting Corporate Customer Service, I am updating my review from 1 star to 2 as they were apologetic and addressed my concerns adequately. If you have an issue living here, I would recommend contacting Corporate Customer Service to resolve it.

I've lived in Chauncey Square the last two years and have really enjoyed it. The leasing office employees learn your name and make all things like picking up mail super streamlined. Not only that, it's a great location because it's close to restaurants while also being really close to bus stops and campus. The amenities are also really convenient. Overall, I think if you're willing to pay the price, Chauncey Square is a great place to live in!

I've been living here for 2 years and overall I'm very pleased to what I signed up for. The apartment comes with most essentials with a very modern look. The bedroom is spacious but the bedframe is just...cheap, and the mattress that came with it is ridiculously uncomfortable. You'll probably have to buy a pad. There are plenty of storage units in the kitchen area but some of them are not accessible by shorter people (the ones above the fridge are literally just there for decoration) and some shelves don't open completely. I didn't have any problem with the hardware such as the washing machine, dryer, or the dishwasher, which is great. Unfortunately, the microwave exhaust is basically useless. I don't understand why the window is blocked by the couch, but that's not really a big issue for me. The management staffs are super responsive, nice, friendly, and helpful. I really enjoyed getting my packages because I'm always greeted by my first name and they remember which apartment I live in. The maintenance group is also fantastic. The location is probably the best you can ask for on campus. On top of all that, you don't have to go out to throw your garbage away, and there's a gym right under. However, Ive experienced some major inconveniences such as broken elevator that was literally not fixed for weeks, and in some instances, both elevators were down. The power went off quite regularly the first year, but was pretty normal the second year. Obviously there will be pros and cons for an apartment building. However, I think the positives definitely overshadow the negatives. I would definitely recommend people living here.

Great place to live! It's walking distance to campus (takes me max 5 min to get to Rawls Hall), the apartments are spacious and pretty, and you have awesome benefits like a gym, theater, game room! The administration is super nice and often hosts events that include free food for all members! Overall, Chauncey Square is a great place to live! I would recommend it to any of my closest friends.

The building is in great condition and well kept. When I moved in, my apartment was so clean it felt like it was new! Great staff, friendly management, and fast response to maintenance requests. 10/10 would recommend!

Its a great location and maintenance is responsive but there are several other issues with the place. It constantly smells like Marijuana, elevators are always down, if you live on the first floor and have a patio, people come up and look onto your windows. We had things get stolen. If youre late on rent they dont work with you. They just try to shove you out the door and it makes the place feel less like home. Too expensive. Its always very loud. There are constant parties from Wednesday to Saturday so dont plan on sleeping well those nights. I do not plan to renew my lease.

Pros Landlord responded quickly, management and maintenance team is friendly. (Repairman Adam tightened my bed-frame when I only ask for repairing windows, thumb up for him). Cons Keep both clips locked or your windows are likely to fall off track. Bed-frame is bad and produces noises when I get on bed. Noise isolation is bad and people party. Elevators are constantly OUT OF SERVICE, today are both of them, so not a good place for disabled people.

Advice to new neighbors, always lock the clips on both sides of the room window because the window might fall off track. Leasing officers are friendly and helpful. Especially thumb up to the repairman, Adam. He also tightened my bed frame when coming to check my windows. I was absent and quite surprised for the extra services. Keep good working!

I have been living at Chauncey Square for a year and decided to renew my lease for another year. It is an outstanding place to live! The location cannot be beat, as it is near campus, restaurants, and all of the bars. The apartment units themselves are very nice and they are well built, so utility bills are pretty inexpensive. Maintenance is extremely responsive and usually shows up within a day or so. I cannot speak highly enough of Chauncey and I would highly recommend it to a friend!

The property itself is very nice. I have lived here for 2.5 years and the only reason I don't anymore is because of me moving out for a job. Dana the property manager has been very very nice to me. She is very reasonable and fair as a manager. I enjoyed living there under her management. The only reason I knocked off 1 star is because their bitchy office staffs (mostly Purdue students). They acted as though they knew everything about the property. They are also not very nice and helpful. For me, I have avoided as much as possible contact with the student staffs and used to talk in person with Dana as she takes care of most of the problems very well. The office staffs I'm referring to is the ones sitting behind the desks, not the security or cleaning staffs (they have been great btw). Advice to management: Refresh the student staffs as, most of the times, they just giggle while listening to the music during work. They think they're invincible and found a perfect student job.

Hi friends! This place is a pretty awesome place to live if you like bragging about it to all of your friends because its so great. But seriously, nicest apartments around by far. You can walk to everything, and I mean everything. Okay all the important places, like class and the bars. Good sized rooms and the comfiest of couches for friends who sleepover. Front office people are cool and let you know when you have packages which is nice. Also they have free coffee if you ask. And cookies. Lots of fresh baked cookies. Anyways, superb place to stay, would recommend for anyone from ages 17 and up. You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose." So choose Chauncey Square!

Chauncey Square is a great place to live for Purdue students! I would highly recommend this to any student looking for housing near Purdue's campus. I love living here because it is walking distance to all of Purdue campus buildings, bars, and restaurants. Covered parking is offered and great for the unpredictable Indiana weather. There are so many amenities and utilities included with rent. I love being able to wash my clothes as often as I want with the washer and dryer in unit. I will definitely live here through out my college years and would recommend it to anyone looking for housing.
