In my 4 years of living here I have to say for the most part I've enjoyed it. The noise complaints can be excessive if you have a sensitive neighbor and parking can be atrocious. The maintenance staff is very friendly and the property manager horrible. She is not very personable and eager to write warning notices. Ex. I was in labor the time I had a large delivery( a mattress )go to the office instead of my apt. When I called her from the hospital to apologize, and informed her I was in labor while it was being delivered, she did not care and still proceeded to send me a warning notice, that I shouldn't have my large items sent to the office. In general, the package receiving process is horrible. I suggest to get a local po box as they always are overwhelmed with packages and mail. The scenery however is beautiful and they do a great job maintaining the property. The only thing outdated is the gym equipment.

We are going on year 4 of living here. Ive yet to have anyrhing short of a good experience with residents, management or maintenance. The apartment we have is spacious and pretty nice. This is a really quiet community and the grounds are well kept. The clubhouse and pool are great areas to relax, complete with a large gas grill, and there is free wireless access for studies or work. The tennis courts are located just behind the pool area and fenced in nicely. The exercise room is pretty nice. Its not Planet Fitness but it is adequate for getting a good workout. There is a very nice area at the pond for grilling, a small picnic, or to hang out and read a book. The fountain in the pond provides a relaxing ambient sound. The car wash area is convenient and useful as it also has a vacuum. We really like it here so its been kind of easy to keep renewing the lease while we are waiting for just the right house in the area we want to be in.

We really like it here so its been kind of easy to keep renewing the lease while we are waiting for just the right house in the area we want to be in. Now is the part where I rant a bit on some of the negative comments... Living in an apartment is not like living in mommy and daddys house. There are others that live all around you and if you have no consideration for that, save yourself the trouble, rent a single family home and enjoy all the hassle that comes with that venture. The apartments are pretty well insulated for noise, but stomping around on the floor, (exercise), can be heard and its kinda rude considering they have a gym here and plenty of room and sidewalks for a jog or walk. I can imagine that crunches, dips, chins, push-ups are all really great exercises for an apartment above the 1st floor. So I doubt noise complaints are about exercise and more about some folks not being considerate others. If you walk your dog in an area you arent supposed to, like the 4wide space between an apartment and the retaining wall. Well, some people open blinds around sunrise, (some of us like the sun!), and youll likely be looked at for letting said dog relieve itself in the bushes 2 from the porch or an open window. Thank you for that wonderful aroma and we arent spying on you, you are infringing on privacy and breaking rules. Ive always thrown my trash into the trash bin, Im 53 and overweight. If I can walk up stairs to dispose of trash properly, so can you. Im sure the waste management company will fine the complex for trash that has to be picked up and put into the bin. The city, county and state will most certainly fine the waste management company for allowing trash to blow out of the container and onto the roads. My trash has never been rummaged through. Parking places directly in front of your apartment, in some places, are at a premium. But there is plenty of parking here. I sometimes have to park in the visitors parking and *gasp*, I have to walk an extra 30-50... oh the humanity!! I tend to track my packages and swing by the office when I believe something Ive ordered should arrive, the staff is extremely helpful with this. I kinda realize if I order something its my responsibility to keep up with it. If the package room gets full or packages have been there to long, they send an email. I have three kids and Amazon is my wifes best friend. That is a lot of birthdays and holidays, not to mention the weekly orders. Not one time did the staff ruin a birthday or holiday. Why, you may ask? Because grown folk take responsibility for themselves. I love it here but they are definitely not running a daycare or postal service, nor should they be. Ive never been overrun by bugs and spiders, Ive seen very few in the time Ive been here. I had Orkin pest control for 20+ years at my house, the results are similar to that. In my opinion that is saying a lot considering the varying housekeeping styles that people have. And breathe.... Ive never complained about anyone here, there has been no reason to. Its really a great place to be.

I've lived here for a year, and I'm only moving for a great job opportunity. If I was staying in Tallahassee, I'd stay here. Maintenance is great: super responsive and polite. I had an issue they couldn't fix right away (lack of parts), but they kept me updated on status and possible paths to fixing it. I *might* have the best apartment in the complex: top floor, overlooking the pond. In a year, I've only heard my neighbors on one night. It has otherwise been very quiet, with an occasional minute of overhearing someone talking in the hallway. It's been a bit annoying to have my only notice of a package arriving be the monthly-or-so email from the office listing apartments with packages, but that's on USPS and not the office. I really appreciate that they send out a notice that packages are waiting in the office. The gate was down for a while at one point, but that has happened at every gated community I have lived in or know anybody else living in, at some point. That kind of thing can be complicated to fix (and it's not like our office staff are the ones actually fixing the gate). Shout out to Dennis for being great.

I've lived here for about 5 years and the for the most part I've enjoyed the experience. The only issues are that they have a pervasive problem with parking, and do not seem to tow or have moved people who with expired parking stickers are no parking stickers taking up residence spots. The second issue is that for what is offered the rent has become a quite expensive and is probably, at this point, the reason that I would leave the place. The maintenance staff though is extremely helpful and the apartment is quite nice and the complex very well maintained. It is also quiet and very convenient to many state jobs. If the rent was about a $100 less a month, I probably would stay another couple years.

The only reason I give this place two stars is for two reasons: The apartments are a nice size and the maintenance staff is INCREDIBLE. However, if you want your neighbors spying on you through their windows and management that digs through your trash to fine you for "not properly throwing the trash away" then stay away. I've never felt so unwelcome at an apartment complex before. The neighbors and the management were awful. The actual leasing agents themselves were fine, but the corporate management people are awful.

I've been living in the apartment community for 5 months now. The grounds are well kept and it's pretty quiet. The rental office staff is always very friendly, especially Dennis he is the best! He helped make my transition into the apartment very smooth. I was relocating from VA, and he helped me with the process so I was able to sign the lease, grab my keys and quickly check in. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone of friends or family.

When moving to Tallahassee from Michigan in 2011, I had one day to find a place to live. After looking at numerous complexes, I was sold with Verandas (then Verandas at Blairstone) because how nice, clean, and safe it felt. I have loved every second of the last two years I lived at Verandas. The office team knew me by name, maintenance issues (few and far between) were corrected same day, plenty of parking, and very quiet. I never had an issue with pests - and if I did, I could just call the office to get pest control out the same week. Fabulous amenities - 24 hour business center and fitness center, great resort-style pool, tennis court, and cute little pond with a walking trail. If I hadn't moved to another state, I would have kept living there as long as I could've!! If I could think of a downside at all, would be that the walls of the complex are quite thin - you can definitely hear a decent amount of what your neighbors are doing depending on how loud they are.
