I liked the convenience of the location, always available parking spot, and usually quiet. But as time went on I repeatedly had roach infestations. It was not me because I was hardly ever there and when I was I cleaned my space. My neighbor mentioned that she had bed bugs in the initial apartment they had assigned to her and they only lowered something like $10 a month for another apartment. Now that I've moved out, they are charging fees. Not worth it.

I've been here for a few months now, and haven't had any issues. Clean apartments, great location. Having 3 hot tubs available, 5 pools, makes me feel like I'm on vacation when I'm home. The people at the front office have always provided me with great service. You can tell that they care about their tenants. Also, the neighbors I've met seem nice.

The leasing office at Fountainhead is outstanding, Lindsay was very helpful in answering all of our many questions and was super friendly. She made the move in experience easy and we love the apartment as well!

Michelle has always been super helpful! We're sorry to go. For prospective tenants, rent and maintenance requests are very convenient online. Someone almost always came the next morning whenever I put in a request.

They offer short term leasing options which is nice. The staff is 50/50, as in half are helpful and friendly and half aren't. Maintenance people are really nice, which is good because at the rate stuff is breaking down around here you will be needing them ALOT. Gated community but main gate has been left open 24/7 and one of the other gates rarely works. Appliances are cheapy, but for apartment rentals I guess you get what you pay for. This place filled the immediate need we had, but I wouldn't live here again.

I can't wait to move my family into such a nice apartment complex. Staff has constantly helped with each and every step of the way and got us approved. Affordable and gated. Free washer and dryer sold us right away.

Our community feels safe compared to our old apartment complex. Danielle has always been so helpful and always finds a solution to our problem. Arturo from maintance is so friendly and helpful. Thankful for him to always help our family out with a smile. Mario from maintance came in recently to fix 2 work orders and when I came back he surprised me by replacing the ac filter without me mentioning it to him. Special thanks to these 3 people for always being so helpful and respectful!

My fiance and I have spent the last year here at Fountainhead and in our personal experience it has been pretty worry free. We ended up in the largest 1 bedroom floor plan large because it had it's own staircase up to the doorway. We liked that because anytime someone walked up the stairs we knew without a doubt they were coming to our door. No more noise from other residents or their guests just the expected visitors. The price was reasonably within our budget. The various pools are pretty well maintained. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day as advertised but is in desperate need of an update but it gets the job done on most days. The maintenance staff is competent and tend to get to work orders within 1 to 2 days of a request. The office is friendly on most days but they are human and sometimes come off a little less than happy to see you but hey sometimes it's hard to be enthusiastic about your work, I get it. It's a quiet community throughout. In fact we got noise complaints called on us for having our surround sound up too loud after 10pm, so yeah that's a quiet community. It was a great place to live in preparation for our move to Washington in June but we are not upset that our time there is coming to end. No real complaints we just saw it as a place to live. Nothing more and nothing less.

About FountainHead Really love living here, I have been a resident for the past 2 years, about to re-lease for a 3rd. The complex is clean and well maintained. Even though it is an older complex it does feel very well taken care of and safe. I love the fact that their are multiple pools, this keeps them from getting too crowded on hot summer days. My only complaint is the gym. Over the past couple of years that I have lived here there seems to be less and less equipment in the gym. I understand that stuff breaks down over time, nothing lasts forever but replacement equipment would be great. It makes it really uncomfortable when you are trying to work out and people have to wait for you to finish or you end up having to leave all together because all the equipment is being used.

I believe that these apartments are the best for the money. Just go and look at other apartments in this area and compare. I am not impressed with the office staff being temps, but for me, they do the job that I need.

This isn't a bad place to stay, per say - however a few fundamental issues caused me to decide to move out after living here for a year. To begin with, the washer and dryer in unit is super tiny and never did a great job getting our clothing clean or dry, we often had to run the dryer four or five times to get our clothes dry. Furthermore, we are being charged a ton for the tiny amount of space we are given, and the area isn't necessarily secure (I know at least once my car was broken into, and our apartment itself was nearly broken into once). Furthermore, one of the managers on site is EXTREMELY rude - her name is Nancy, if I remember correctly. One month, we were a whole $60 late on rent, and we got a note on our door stating that our lease had been canceled and we were being evicted and had three days to vacate the unit. Obviously I was flabbergasted - it was a rough week for us, with my boyfriend and I having had the flu - and had never had this issue at other complexes I had lived at. When we went to talk to the property manager, she never once invited us into her office, made rude remarks about us while we were standing right there, and told us that this was "just standard procedure, and we needed to stop making such a bit deal out of it." That kind of service is overall what solidified our desire to move. And, of course, after all of this happened, we had not one, but two rats in our unit, as the buildings are old and not properly sealed (there were large gaps leading into the wall under our sink and that's where the pesky rat came from...) There were some really great things about being here, though. The regular front staff members were always super helpful, I never waited more than a day or two for any maintenance issues and the people were always very friendly and professional, and it's right across the street from where I work. Not to mention the fact there are a ton of pools which gave me lots of options for when I wanted to swim, but didn't want to be around that many people. Maybe if the manager hadn't been rude, and if the space wasn't overly crowded and extremely expensive, I would have stayed.

I lived at Fountainhead Apartments from 2014-2016, so for two years. However, it just occurred to me that I never reviewed this complex. While living here, I enjoyed it. The landscape was clean, cost of rent was really affordable, and I always felt safe. My sister and I never felt uneasy or like our lives were in danger. The neighbors were also very friendly and we were able to recognize everyone who was living near us. Though I wanted to give this complex a solid five stars, I took off one star because the leasing office was a bit rude at times. Another struggle was having to pay the rent in-person/ with a money order. That was such a pain since we both worked until late in the evening and would have to rush home to pay rent. Those were the only downfalls.

I personally very much enjoyed my 4 years at Fountainhead. Management was always very nice and maintenance usually was very timely whenever I had any issues. My floor plan was more than enough space, and when I first moved in, it was in pretty solid condition. It was also enough space for my cat, who coincidentally loved one particular maintenance man. The appliances were 1970s realness, but they worked, so I can't complain too much. Essentially, if you expect state of the art fridges and washers, you may or may not get them. Parking was never an issue, minus the person who parked a freakin' boat for the longest time. Finally, crime was never really an issue in my part of the complex. The only issue I ever had with crime was when someone threw a rock through my car window, but then I never heard a peep again. Even my neighbors were pretty great (unless one of them threw the rock, then I redact my previous statement)! There were a few issues here and there (the gate not working on occasion, mud whenever it rained), but I'm normally a pretty easy going person so they didn't bother me too much. That being said, I only had 3 really big issues in my 4 years. My water heater had a period of time when it just kept going out and I'd be surprised with a cascade of ice cold water in the mornings. I had been informed to let management know so a replacement could be made, but nothing ever came to fruition. Luckily, the last maintenance man who worked on it fixed it, and I never had an issue again! Next, during one particularly rainy night in San Antonio, my ceiling near the fireplace sprung a leak. I was terrified that it was going to burst at some point, but thankfully it never did. It took a while to fix, but they were nice enough to get started on it the week after it occurred. Finally, BUGS. My building was regaled with these horrible rocks on the side of my apartment and it was centipede city in the summer after that. There was literally no getting rid of them. I also had problems with crazy ants and june bugs too, but those were more easily taken care of. TL;DR Fountainhead was inexpensive, but I felt like I got more than what I paid for. Everyone was really nice, my apartment was great, and parking didn't completely suck. Sure, there were a few issues here and there, but what apartment doesn't have them? I lived there for 4 years, and I will always have fond memories.

Overall, I love living at Fountainhead. The community feels very safe and homey. It's awesome that there are 5 pools within the complex because they are never overcrowded. It would be nice to have a larger gym with new equipment but that is one of my only complaints. Staff and neighbors are friendly. Maintenance crew is also very nice and helpful, they do a great job and are usually very fast anytime I put in a request to have something fixed. The complex is a little older but rent is reasonably priced for the centrally located area. I have lived here for 2 years and just released with this complex, couldn't ask for a better home.

I am so surprised with just how quiet and peaceful it is here. Everyone has been friendly and there are dogs everywhere! The staff have always been incredibly friendly and helpful with anything I added. I've enjoyed living here. Especially with the simply fact that they have trees here. Actual foliage.

I lived here from June 2015 to April 2017- a great almost two years, honestly. There are a few things that can be worked on, but in reality it's not perfect ANYWHERE. Great location with immediate access to i10, in the middle of two convenience stores/gas stations and there's an H-E-B just down the street. Surrounded by good restaurants, too! (210 Ceviche and Taqueria Datapoint is where it's at, y'all.) Office staff changed once during my two leases, but my girls Danielle and Nicole were absolutely WONDERFUL! Michelle came on board recently and was a great help to me as well. Paige and Nancy in management, are both sweet and understanding. Basically, pay on time and be prepared to pay a fee if you don't. Referral program is fair and accurate. Bill the maintenance man is AWESOME and is the most helpful person I met at Fountainhead. Gates work sometimes, and sometimes they don't. Bolt your doors and lock your cars, but that should be common sense ANYWAY. Rent does go up every time you renew your lease, which is an idea in general that I don't understand (the apartment is getting older, not newer) and the appliances need a serious upgrade. Old appliances and faulty dryer machines only make electricty more expensive. My neighbors were great and I never had a single confrontation. NOT ALL DOG OWNERS PICK UP AFTER THEIR DOGS- biggest pet peeve while living there.... only to find out that people at my new place do the same thing lol. All in all, it was a great experience and I am thankful to have had my very first home at Fountainhead.

Now that I have lived here a bit longer I say this is a nice place to live. I have been here 8 months and haven't had any major issues. The office staff is very nice and friendly. While they don't have a way to pay online or some other modern conveniences they have adjusted the office hours to be more convenient for us. The place is quiet and kept very clean. I haven't even seen a roach in my apartment. I would highly recommend checking this place out as a place to live

I cannot imagine living anywhere else. Fountainhead is a safe, quiet, beautiful, affordable, family-friendly, and kind community. I found them because a friend recommended them, and I'm so glad they did! The staff is kind, patient, and accommodating. They are organized and well informed. Whenever there is an issue, it is fixed within 2 days, and they are very apologetic and always find ways to make up for issues. I adore this complex, and I highly recommend it to any singles, couples, and families.

I really enjoy living here. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and professional. The maintenance is timely and competent. I would really like the parking lot in front of my building to be completed as soon as possible. Also, the water heater isn't adequate to service so many apartments. Other than that, it's a great place to live.

I stayed here for two years and enjoyed the quiet environment. However, when we moved out we were slammed with over $1,000 worth of fines. The apartment had the normal wear and tear of an extended stay with two tenants: run down carpets, a few wall scrapes. We were also charged for stains and damages that were there when we moved in, such as water stains in the toilet and bath. Here's something I wish I had known: DO NOT EVER EVER GET SURE DEPOSIT. It is a MASSIVE scam. Fountainhead staff will talk it up like they're helping you out and saving you money, but it's just a way for them to make you pay for every single tiny piece of damage when you move out. If you try to question the bill, they just send you on to collection. Just save yourself the trouble and live somewhere else, where the staff and management are honest and trustworthy (unlike this place).

I've been here two years and just signed my lease for a third. They are very inexpensive and in a great location. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff is awesome. Having a washer/dryer unit in my apartment is wonderful. Close to everything, especially the med center. I read some of the other reviews and they seem to complain about one or two isolated incidents. Overall, the FountainHead is great!

I love these apartments. Like ANY other apartment complex, there are some issues, but they get taken care of right away. I had ants at one point and when I called, they sent someone right away. My AC wasn't cooling at one point, and they fixed it immediately. Little things that I had issues with, they took care of right away. The thin walls are everywhere...actually, there are some nice apartments off Bandera where the walls are even THINNER! All in all, the place is quiet and nice. The appliances are old, but they work...you see it in the beginning, so if you don't like it, don't move in...personally, I don't care. If they work, perfect for me! They take care of any issues in a timely manner. They don't bother me at all. I wish there were a way to pay online or a night box...but they are open until 6, so that gives me time to pay after work. They are open on the weekends too, so that is convenient.
