There are a lot of things I could say about Vie and I really don't even know where to start. First off, I lived at Vie for the past 2 years and just moved out last month. When I moved in to Vie in August 2016, they had about a 2.3 rating. Clearly their ratings have gone up in the past 2 years, but I can tell you firsthand that it's because the staff bribes residents with swag and other free stuff in exchange for a 5 star rating on google. I can't tell you how many staff members in the past 2 years have said something along the lines of "earn this if you give us a 5 star rating on google!" or something similar. If you read through the 5 star reviews, you can even tell which people were bribed by 8 names in a row giving a "shout out" to the same person at the office. The problems I faced at Vie in my past 2 years were tremendous as well! Since I moved in, there were multiple shootings or attempted shootings at Vie. One was fatal, and the other no one was injured. Last night, there was another shooting where 2 people were injured and sent to the hospital. The way these problems have been addressed are pathetic. 2 years ago when a person was fatally shot, Vie commented on the incident saying they were "aware of the incident." Not sure how someone dying is an "incident." Lastly, I faced multiple problems with my apartment. For 2 years I had extensive water damage in my room. Every time it rained you could see a line of water run across my ceiling and down my walls. I complained for almost a year and a half with no fix. About the third time I complained, the office came in and spray painted my ceiling to cover the damage but didn't actually fix the leak. This led to ruined furniture due to the spray paint staining my stuff, and my ceiling STILL leaked. At one point, it got so bad that when it poured rain, my fire alarm would start dripping out water. It would set off all the alarms in my unit every time it rained because water was coming down through my alarm and all the wires. This happened twice. The second time it happened, I took the fire alarm down from the ceiling and to the front office, complaining about it being a fire hazard with water sitting in it. The front desk literally told me to "put the fire alarm back in the ceiling, or you could be fined." Even though it was leaking water and was a huge fire hazard. And with all that water leaking into my ceiling and then drying over and over again had to lead to some sort of mold, perhaps even black mold. The office finally fixed the problem about 2 months before I moved out after 2 YEARS. In short, I would not live here again and I would suggest you don't either.

Paula. Amazing. Stupendous. Made the move in process very simple for a first time renter. I appreciate the effort and the lay out of how things will be when I move in! Thank you!

Was told by a staff member from my school that students got a promo or deal with the Vie (we supposedly pay less, they waive all fees, and we stay can stay short term) which wasnt true, We had to pay the same rate as everyone else $569 for 4x4, i had got plenty of fees whether it be admin, security deposit fee, technology fee, and early payment fee which got returned, but fees that brought my first months pay from $569 to $919. Very unprofessional when moving I couldnt get them on the phone or get a call back & the leasing agent handling my application quit so that was their reason for not calling back or proceeding with my application. A leasing agent told me I could stay short term for the summer and that they could extend my move out day to right before i move on campus so it would work out perfectly when i moved out then on to campus, but now that its close to fall semester they called because they had a 12 months lease waiting for renewal, which I declined so they told me I have to leave July 31st, 14 days from campus move in day because people that are coming to stay for fall are moving in and it would be chaotic which was very inconvenient and defeated the whole purpose of the short term summer stay & lease because i have to find temporary housing till i move back on campus. I asked If I could get another short term lease and they said I could but my rent would go up to $659 ($100 added to original) if Im not staying 12 months. The leasing agents are cool people but it felt like they care more about their job than the residents & they give a lot of empty promises & pretty much will say anything to get people to lease with them (promising gifts & new furniture & all) I had a comfortable stay, the unit was pretty nice, nice kitchen, rooms and bathrooms & it felt like home. Overall, everyone experience is different & i feel they got the ratings they deserved, & the only reason people are giving good ratings & including leasing agents names is because before you move in they tell you to rate & mention them on google reviews before actually experiencing Vie so they can get promotions or raises.

I have been shopping around for apartments and I've come to find Vie in Raleigh to be very competitive among my options. The difference between Vie and the other places I am considering is the amazing staff at Vie! In particular Dayquan Chapman! He's been really helpful informing me about what Vie has to offer! His kindness, inviting personality, and campus knowledge has definitely left a mark. I look forward to going forward with Vie this upcoming fall semester. Thank you!

Move in was easy and smooth. However I've had a few issues with my roommate themselves but Rome and Alana have been great! I know they can't control peoples behavior but they have gone above and beyond to hep me. If you have any issues just ask for them!

-EDIT- My concerns listed below have been addressed, shout out to Rome in the front office for keeping me sane during this process. I've had a good year here at the Vie, and the maintenance issues that I've had to deal with lately aren't representative of the experience as a whole. ------ The year started out decent, nothing to write home about, but lately the maintenance has been pretty bad. -Starting April 15, my Air Conditioning Unit has broken a total of 6 times. Each time it has taken the on-site contractors/employees roughly three days to fix it, and recently the system lasts only a few days before failing again. -There was a leaking pipe in the ceiling above my bathroom, and the process to fix it went something like this: 1) Cut large holes out of my bathroom ceiling. 2) Let water continue to pour through holes into my bathroom. 3) Hire contractors to come in several days later to fix the pipe. 4) Leave holes for a week and a half, allowing the pungent smell of molding drywall to fully permeate the apartment. (Which coincided with my A/C failing) 5) Fix holes by loosely screwing drywall into support beams.

The front office/gym area is nice, but the units themselves are at best mediocre. Internet speeds are also something to be desired, as is the water pressure. Check out the news stories from Fall 17 about people moving into half-repaired and dirty apartments, and then also look up the crime statistics here. Its not worth what theyre charging.

This place is awsome Rome in the front office is one of the coolest people working at Vie when I had an issue she was on it and made me feel valued she made sure I had an apartment that was clean when I moved in and whenever I have questions she answers them with enthusiasm people can go in the office mad and Rome turns the grown upside down. Vie is Awesome!

I had lived at the Vie going on two years now. The rates are low and very affordable. I love going to the dog park and sitting out there with my dog. He enjoys it here just as much as I do. The staff is very friendly and have been very helpful in assisting me with all my needs in my stay here thus far. The community is nice and the events are pretty fun. I cant speak for others, but I like it here.

Ignore the bad reviews, as I will tell you... As a resident here at the Vie, I couldn't be anymore happier. I'm comfortable, taken care of and always being spotlighted by the staff. Everyones so amazing, especially Rome!! She's definitely one of my favorites and its always a joy to see her. I Love her!!! Oh and guys, the apartment is wonderful. I love how everything was fully furnished and if I ever have a problem maintenance are always so quick to respond. Seriously! I put in a work order one night and they came knocking the next morning! So grateful I had chosen to lie here. Location is great too. Just so many great things to say! I LOVE THE VIE!!!

Best deal I found when I first transferred down to Raleigh. As soon as they told me ALL utilities with no caps I was sold. Plus it's nice to have roommates that have so much in common! Wine night every wednesday ;). Blondie was the best signed my lease same day and got an awesome deal!!

I know there are several less than stellar reviews but let me explain. Office management is exceptional. They bend over backwards for their residents. They may not be the quickest to resolve an issue, but I believe quality is more important than quantity. Those who demean this property expect instant gratification to their problems and are unwilling to work with management to ascertain a feasible and favorable outcome. Through getting to know the staff and being as professional as possible, I have had many issues resolved as efficiently as possible. I think it's unreasonable to confront staff members by hurdling insults at them or addressing your concerns in an unprofessional manner. There is a diplomatic method to having your questions answered and like anyone else, management is very responsive to residents who have their facts straight and go about their business in a mature fashion. It's simple, treat others the way you would like to be treated. Thank you to all who have helped me in every way living here. It has not always been easy, but your professional and courteous demeanor have certainly gone a long way in my book.

I know there is some negative news about this place, but we are relocating to Raleigh and recently met with one of the leasing agents Rome , and she was fantastic. She said she is fairly new so maybe they are upping their game. I am excited to move in and start our adventure there. You cant beat the price , especially to include so many amenities. Plus HBO!! I can catch up on Game of Thrones. Its a young, cool vibe.

I would highly recommend reading reviews and deciding what you are willing to put up with for the low price (though the price seems to be going up rapidly). The gym is nice. The pool is fun, but it was closed this whole summer (I moved out at the end of July). Unfortunately, the maintenance staff appears to be severely understaffed. It takes a long time to get anything fixed, and you have to bug the front office people frequently if you want anything done. I had a broken refrigerator/freezer for an entire month, and a lot of my food spoiled! I asked the office about it almost daily, and they would tell me it was fixed when it wasn't. Overall, this place is fine when things are running smoothly, but every repair or maintenance issue seems to become a nightmare pretty quickly.

Amazing new atmosphere with the renovations done to the Clubhouse. Very modern and technologically advanced style! Also love the different event that the Vie offers and hosts throughout the year, especially during the summer. It's my second year in Raleigh, and I'm looking forward to many more events in the future!

Honestly most of the reviews on this place are outdated. Gym equipment is well maintained and actually much better than any other apartment complex around. Rooms are nice and maintenance is on their game when parts are readily available. If you need an example, my washer was broken and I put a work order in last Wednesday... it's now Monday and I currently have a new washer in my apartment. Rent is cheap and the staff is very friendly. Amenities are included in rental and online payment makes paying rent each month easy. The only real issue that I have come across with this place is other tenants littering or just being obnoxious. You will find that to be the problem almost anywhere though... So Vie at Raleigh is, in my opinion, a decent place to live.

The apartments are nice and they are fairly large in size, but it is not worth the money they charge in rent. Management is so terrible at responding to requests. When I first moved in, my dryer didn't work. I called management and 2 weeks after submitting my work order someone came to fix it. He came in, took the dryer apart, and never came back. I had to submit a second work order. Didn't have a dryer for a month even though I pay for the amenities to have them in my apartment. Also, it doesn't say this on the website, but the gym is only open until 6pm, so if you work a 9-5 and like to work out regularly, don't bother. If the place was cheaper I could deal with the issues, but they charge way too much money for what the place is actually worth.

The new management for the vie is alot better than the old management. I recently broke my key to my front door and Samantha working in the front office was very helpful and friendly in getting my new key. The new renovations and appliances in the apartments are nice. Can't wait till they finish the new gym and Main office. Usha is very friendly and helpful too.

since i have been living here i don't have any problems, they have worked with me and my roommates on all sorts of random situations that seem to occur. the apartments are what you pay for, i had a 4x4 which isn't bad at all. the room is a great size for one person, along with your girlfriend/boyfriend sleeping over or staying. the apartment staff are quick to respond to things you need around the apartment done, i had a plug issue and they said monday would be the soonest from a friday due to network issues, but they came on saturday and were out within a few minutes, and the guy was great. the only reason i don't give it a five is for a few reasons. one, the roommate pairing is off, like i am 20 and living with 30 year olds that aren't even in college and we have nothing in common after spending a few months together. another reason is how when the fire alarm goes off, it plays through all the apartments and that is a total kill when sleeping and that alarm shoots off right next to your room. other than that, the staff are great, mostly females, never had an issue. they do send alot of emails, which is nice to be constantly updated on whats going on and when things are due. whenever i call they are prompt and nice. never really had issues with them. besides shit roommates.

There was a giant bug problem here, and my apartment was kept clean. Tons of cockroaches, ants, and fruit flies. I always had to put in at least two maintence orders before I got anything done. The office is EXTREMELY unorganized. I am right now dealing with an issue where I have emailed the property manager twice and called, and she will not return my calls or email. There is always a new manager (I wonder why) and none of the management seems to be on the same page with anything. Do not move here.
