Cameron Park is a historic district, being one of the first planned “streetcar suburbs” of Raleigh. This neighborhood has a very strong sense of community and there are many events held throughout the year to bring residents together, such as an annual Christmas Party and neighborhood dinners. There are also evening movies held in the Park when the weather permits. Explore Cameron Park’s intimate streets to enjoy the beautiful architecture and little boutique shops and restaurants in the area. The neighborhood is quite diverse, consisting of families and young singles. However, there are many student residents here, as the neighborhood is located very close to North Carolina State University’s campus. There many different types of housing here – from beautiful old Colonial Revivals to Bungalows to duplexes.
