This is my second time living at Mayfaire. The first time lived in the community about 4 years and moved out of town for short time and moved back in the region and back to Mayfaire. The 1st and now the 2nd experiences are little different. Same size apartment but the price increases are really getting out of line for the age of the units and though minor updates have been done still the look and feel of the mid 90's when they were built. For the price they are asking it should have more updated modern feel in respect to the basic old appliances from 90's and the plain interior doors. I'm beginning to look at other apartments some older have done some really renovations to the apartment interiors not just to the office/clubhouse those are always updated but residents don't live there. The things that haven't change is the staff is great, friendly and works very hard to resolve issues. My opinion is if Drucker & Faulk wants to continue to increase rent as much as they need better do more updates in these aging apartments to justify paying 935 for a one bedroom 20 something year old apartment.

It was nice , calm and peaceful community but I am giving this rating strictly on the experiences I had. I had to move out before the completion of my lease period but management made me pay 2 weeks of additional rent even after the completion of my lease term. They say 60 day notice period is needed in vacating the apartment. I always pay my rent on 1st of every month and i was charged with a late fees which is 5 % of my base rent. They did not communicate this to me until next month. While I asked them regarding the high monthly rent they told me its because of late payment. I had to provide them all proofs and bank statement to show the transaction happened on 1st day of the month to get the refund.

When we first moved in, we had a couple minor issues. The front office staff and maintenance worked quickly to resolve the issue and take care of us. I am very pleased with my experience, most notably Judy and Nathalie. I would recommend Mayfaire Apartment Homes to anyone searching in the research triangle.

Before I moved in, the cleaning crew spent at least five hours cleaning. The apartment more than passed the white glove test and by far proved cleaner than any apartment or home into which I have moved. Maintenance of the buildings, pool, landscaping is prioritized. Although the complex was not new when I moved in, I had multiple friends and family ask if it was a new apartment complex. It is that well maintained. Overall, the staff are top-notch: respectful, friendly, flexible and always willing to answer questions. Unfortunately due to relocation, I had to break my one-year lease after nine months. Although my lease obligated me to pay the full year, the office staff without question agreed to only hold me accountable until a new lease was signed and started. One day after my letter of termination, they had secured a new renter!

This is a great place to live! The office and other staff are professional and courteous. Maintenance is taken care of promptly and the common grounds are well looked after. I have felt safe here letting my child go out and about to play on his own in the 'All Sports Court'. I recommend this community to anyone looking for an upscale living arrangement.

I've lived here since June 2012 and I have nothing but positive things to say about Mayfaire Apartments. I believe one of the best things about the complex...that even the newer complexes don't have...is assigned parking. Even though this is a small complex, its nice to not have to feel you have to race home to be able to park near your building! They are very prompt with maintenance requests. Its very quiet which is important to me since I work from home at times. My neighbors are friendly. The grounds are kept neat and well manicured. The office is really good about letting us know things like when the filters are going to be changed or the sprinkler systems are going to be checked. I am really spoiled here!

Where do I start? I have now been in this apartment for 2 1/2 years. Management was wonderful in the beginning, not any more. The manager Natalie, is VERY overbearing and seems to complain about every little thing. Picture living at home with an evil stepmother, and she has 2 kids of her own who have dirty mouths and are always playing in the halls bouncing balls and riding bikes without supervision in the parking lot. I have seen both of them urinating in the bushes right outside my door several times!! She acts like your best friend until you move in! ***BEWARE*** Parking is horrible! You get one assigned spot, thats it. No matter if it is a 2 or 3 bedroom. Expect to walk a LOOOONNNGGG way as there is only guest parking in one section. Groceries in the rain, good luck. Pool area: no rules are ever enforced that are posted. If you have kids, expect them to be exposed to many drunk parites at the pool with foul language and lewd behavior, including the above noted management***** 1. Initial move in issues-The apartment that I was promised was given to someone else 3 days after I visited and started my application. My carpet was wet on the day I moved in, dirt/hair was found inside all bathroom cabinets. It took 12+ calls and 2 months to get items fixed from the movein checklist. I could have done the work in 2 hrs but I wanted to see what kind of service that I would get. Unless the AC or Heat doesn't work, I perform all other maintenance so I don't have to put up with really bad service. Also, Maintenance came into my apt several times without my approval and my apartment smelled of cigarettes and they had taken food OUT OF MY REFRIGERATOR!!!! 2. Windows are of LOW QUALITY. Honestly, Be ready for 2-4 ounces of water on inside window seals in the cold weather months.....Very CHEAP windows even though the outside and inside appearance are decent. When you have moisture, you have MOLD. Keep a towel handy. Apartment complex Window expert indicated that the windows were not faulty yet they are dripping in moisture on cold winter months. 3. NOISY neighbors. Sounds like a waterfall in the bedroom when the shower is on. You can hear water traveling down the pipes thru the walls from even outside in the stairwells....PAPER THIN! POORLY INSULATED Floors and walls. I would bet that there is no interior insulation anywhere in these POORLY constructed apartments. I've had to call the police 1/2 dozen times when parties continued well past midnight or when people started partying at 3:00am even on weekdays.... Do these people hold a real job? DRUG Dealers are staying at Mayfaire now. I've had a Hit and Run on my car while parked overnight and had to pay out of my pocket to repair. RUN for your Life!! 4. I renewed my lease in November to find that my rent was going to increase by over 10% since I was paying less than most renters. My first year increase was 3% and now jumped to 10%. Other renters had an increase of only 3%. "It was a marketing strategy" is what the District mgr stated. Yeah, more $ for you and you advertise that you cater to the customer. If it hadn't been the holiday season with so many other expenses, I would have moved. On the outside it looks like a great place to live, dont be fooled!
