This place is great! Me and my husband really loved living here! Janet is amazing and always greets us by name. If we didn't have to relocate due to a job, we would definitely be renting from them again. I've seen some comments on here saying that the are overpriced, but I don't believe that they are. It is a decent price for the location you are in (I have paid much more for an apartment much smaller than the one we lived in here than what I did when I lived in Miami). I think the apartment prices that they have are decently priced and when we moved in, you only had to make 2x the monthly rent while everywhere else in the surrounding area requires 3x the monthly rent. The pool is great and they have been having food trucks every Wednesday evening. We lived towards the back of the apartment complex so it was fairly quite. Like all apartments you live in, there is the occasional chance that you will hear your neighbors from time-to-time, but that is expected when you live in an apartment building. All in all, it is a great location to live in and it is close to almost everything. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely move back here if our jobs take us back to Raleigh.

The people working at Colonial Grand at Crabtree are fantastic. The apartment complex might have some age on it, but the entire team is working together to make this a top-notch place to live. They consistently respond to every service request with surprising promptness and professionalism, and ALWAYS fix the problem. I haven't had a single issue that wasn't resolved QUICKLY, and with little to no effort on my part. Tiffany and Rob both helped me with an issue just yesterday, and I couldn't be more pleased with the support they gave me. Thankfully, that's been the norm the entire time I've been here. Additionally, they've recently upgraded the landscaping, which really helps keep things looking fresh. Perhaps most importantly, the staff always greets me AND my kids by name, with a smile, and are super friendly. They set the tone and make my kids feel good to be here. And that's not just the office staff, that includes the maintenance team. Tiffany, Janet, and Rob and are all doing a tremendous job.

Great community. Quiet and safe. The office staff are very hands on. This morning the first person I see was the property manager (Tiffany) replacing air filters. Oh watch out for Janet she enjoys that golf cart which she uses to deliver notices and other things to residents. They are both great to talk to and very resourceful too. They know all of the residents by name not apartment unit. The maintenance department is awesome always helpful and they work fast too. If a problem is not resolved quickly they keep you updated until they are able to fix the problem. Always friendly and always working. Great community great area and great service.

Great staff. Always friendly and do their best to accommodate requests. They are constantly reflecting on reoccurring issues and implementing new ways to solve any problems that occur. Office staff send emails to keep residents as updated as possible and make efforts to increase community socials. Neighbors are quiet and friendly in passing. I definitely recommend this place for a small family or single people looking for a home. Rent is reasonable for the area it is located.

Good things: Lot's of space, no arbitrary breed restrictions on dogs, plenty of parking, good locations. Pretty quiet and safe. Bad things: super sketchy "MAA connect" where $50 gets tacked on to your posted rent for "cable" (just cable, no internet). A lot of people don't clean up after their dogs (not the apartment's fault, but residents; please grow up). Things I wish I had for the $50 a month that I pay for a service that I never wanted: heat that worked reliably, a pantry, residents who cleaned up after their dogs, new appliances. It's not a bad place, but could be way better considering what I am paying.

i dont ever give reviews so this has to be a pretty bad experience. Me giving a 2 is pretty generous. Tiffany in the office has has been incredibly rude to me since day 1. You will pay an arm and leg to live here when the apartments badly need updated to make sense of the rent you pay here. Before I moved in, I got a call asking if Id like to keep the walls a gray color. When I said yes, they informed me that it would be $60 to keep the walls gray or free to change them back to a basic cream color..makes 0 sense. And if youre wondering, of course I changed them back?! Sometimes I worry about the amounts being paid and where these payments actually go. Ill be leaving once the lease is up to a place where the office staff isnt rude and where I can pay the same amount of rent and get something so much nicer. People are lazy and gross by not cleaning up after their dogs. The amount of times Ive stepped on dog poop before getting inside is more than I can count on my fingers. The thing I cant complain about is that its quiet and theres no breed restrictions. Thats literally it. Dont live here. Thats all.

Worst move out process. We loved living here, until it came to us wanting to move out. We were charged additional amounts on top of our non-refundable deposit(that they already had and were so clearly fine to just keep) and treated like we'd trashed the apartment. $200+ dollars because we supposedly didn't clean well enough? Really? We were up for hours cleaning and were still charged that amount. Would never live here again. Moving is stressful enough without fake charges being added on top of it.

Toured this property in early Fall and was really impressed. Great Clubhouse area and amenities. Large floor plans with open concept living. My tour with the Assistant Manager Janet Kinney went great. She has a wealth of knowledge for the property as well as the area. I would highly consider Colonial Grand as an option to rent at anytime of the year in this area. They do bundle some of their services so do not let this scare you when you see their rates slightly higher than neighboring complexes.

I moved here into a 2 bedroom in 2014 after selling my home of 11 years. It was a drastic change but a good one. I'll be moving out to downsize even more but I will say I enjoyed CG Crabtree. Tiffany, the property manager, is so professional and very approachable. Larger communities with more than 3 on staff weren't as available as Tiffany. She'd always answer your call or call you back. The maintenance team was quick to respond to any issues too. I'm gonna miss here.
