It's been an easy process from viewing the apartments all the way to getting the keys to move in. Great communication during the application process and in a timely manner. On our move in day, our representative Seth, was there to assist and answer questions that came up. Different from many of the apartments we looked at before, they keep this building clean and up to date. It's well worth the money and in a very lively, trendy area. Movie theater, bank, restaurants, grocery stores and places to catch a game or simply have a beer are all near by. Basically within walking distance. Hospital near by but hopefully we wont need to pay them a visit.... :-) We have not had one night that we felt it wasn't quiet enough to get some work done from home. Thats important to me, plus the outside roof top over looks the main strip of this area. Great for being able to entertain guests. It's also good to have parking areas around the building that don't require a parking meter or the option of underground parking. This was our last apartment on our list to view, I'm glad we stopped by to see the place for ourselves. I suggest you at least look at it for yourself.

Full disclosure- some things new management inherited and can't help... -College season is LOUD. The college is semi-close and I didn't know the area before moving here so the jokes on me I guess as a professional. PRO: New staff cares a lot if you make a complaint about disrespectful neighbors. - The new staff loves dogs! I have one and my dog loves them too! -The walls are very thin. It's like the builders skimped on the installation and/or used plywood to cut costs. Again, adds to the noise level. You may need to run your APT fan due to nearby bars/drunks. -Overpriced base rent and not including anything (except trash)? I'm not privy to all MKE rental costs and competition but while the apartments are decently nice and they may argue as "competitive" for the area - I've very recently lived in much higher cost of living cities, more and much nicer amenities, in much better areas, for equal or even cheaper, and they would cover water too. -Rooftop Terrace on the 2nd Floor? Made too much sense to design/build on the 5th? -The gym/fitness center cannot reasonably be defined as that, when it's no more than an oversized walk-in closet with outdated equipment. They also, may have canceled the cable for the televisions? -Old management did Friday "to-go" breakfast and monthly parties at expense of management. They stopped doing this. Conclusion - Its just not worth the price in my opinion, others may disagree...make your own decision.

Recently moved here from Chicago and didn't think I woudl find and apartment building in Milwaukee that was as nice as my building in the Loop. Couldn't be happier. Great location very nice fit and finish in the units. But the best part is the roofdeck....

I have lived here since the building opened and I am here to tell you this place is GREAT! The level of service, responsiveness to any needs we might have (my husband and son) is taken care of ASAP. The location is unbeatable with Whole Foods down the block and a VERY COOL library below along with the Oriental, Beans and Barley and other great restaurants a moments walk away what more could you ask for. Holly Pollard-Wright Does Jason Tatez live in the building? Has he ever?

What a great place to call home! Located on the vibrant East Side of Milwaukee, the Standard has it all for urban living. Great units, beautiful roof top deck with an upscale design and spacious community room for entertaining or simply hanging out with friends as well as a well-equipped fitness area. The staff is professional, friendly and respond quickly to requests. Mornings we are greeted with fresh-brewed coffee in two convenient locations in the building. As a bonus, we have the beautiful new East Side library right next door! I would encourage anyone looking for a great living experience to tour the Standard.
