Description

Kunzelmann-Esser Lofts is a historically renovated building designed for the Artisan who wants to work from his or her home. You'll love our unique floor plans, some available with concrete or wood floors, 14-foot ceilings (some with tin) and large windows for plenty of natural lighting. An art gallery display space is located on the 1st & 2nd floors and is available to all of the residents. We are conveniently located just off I-43/94, close to restaurants and shopping. If you are an inspiring artist or just have an appreciation for art, this is definitely the building for you. Not only is it a building for artists & residents, but more importantly, a community for those with similar interests. From painters to sculptors to photographers to dancers and musicians, residents are encouraged to showcase their work not only in the two art galleries but in the hallways and other common areas as well. If you want to live in a building that is unlike the "typical apartment building" and if you love to participate in a community atmosphere, then Kunzelmann-Esser is a great place for you!

We have several apartment homes reserved at reduced rents should your household income fall within area guidelines. Call today for details on this great money saving opportunity. This is made possible due to our participation in Wisconsin's affordable housing program.

I'm a current resident here and I think the place is awesome. Central air for the first time in my life--no need for window units. Elevator works great for an 8 story building, definite must have because of my physical condition. My floor is definitely the most unique floors in the building as half the floor is comprised of catwalks that overlook an art studio that occasionally (every couple months) displays work that people from the community can choose to view. The security of the building is something they are working to fix at the moment as it is transitioning from an open lobby to a locked lobby. Having it open provides some occasional problems but having a dedicated community watch program for the building does help. Driving wise it's two blocks off I-43 so it's a prime location to get to all places. It's located on bus line 54, a block from line 80, and 7 blocks from the 15 and Green lines making it easy to hop a bus to literally anywhere.

I'm not one of those crazy picky people but this building has lots of issues I currently live here and I can't wait to my lease ends. For starters there was a dead body in an apartment for 7 days or longer there was no compensation on rent. When we moved in here they advertise a computer lab few months after living here they lock the doors and you're only allowed to be in there for an hour during office hours why I'm still charge monthly for it I have no idea. The buzzer systems its a hit or miss if it's going to work for your apartment if it doesn't work. Don't plan on getting it fixed they will avoid you at all costs. I have been asking them to fix it now for about 6 months they got it working for 3 days. But for some reason it was disconnected. I'm at the point where I am refusing rent and I'm about to hire someone to fix the problems here in my own living quarters and send them the receipt as rent I'm a very hard person to piss off I can deal with a lot of things but not a management that refuses to do their job. It may look nice here but its not worth what you pay you may not hear your neighbors but there's a lot of baggage that comes with this place. Please do not disregard my advice stay away from kunzellman esser lofts. I did my research before moving in here I thought it was just a bunch of picky people that couldn't stand living with normal wear and tear of a place the management is always changing and notes do not go from person to person. management does change every 2 to 3 months at one point in time they had 4 management in this building and yet they cannot fix a buzzer or find someone to fix a buzzer. Also we've been asking for a new screen for our window now for about 4 months as well. But since management is forever changing nothing is going to get accomplished. This is such a problem here I will be checking back on this site for the next three years to make sure this post is still here because no one should ever have to go through this.
