The positives: - The views are amazing -Close to anything you need downtown -The maitnence crews are very friendly -Nice pool ...sadly, that's about it for the positives... The negatives: Well, just about everything else. I was in a newly updated unit that looked good in the spring before I toured it. My only concern was some stains I saw on the carpet in the bedroom (I couldn't see all of them because the bed was there). I was told not to worry that the carpets would be cleaned and replaced if need be. I took their word for it and signed the lease. BIG MISTAKE. I go to move in and the first thing I see is this gigantic stain in the bedroom with splatter all over. Keep in mind this was not small, just about 2 feet in length and about a foot wide with spatter. I called down to management and they came and looked at. They said carpet was cleaned and this remained. I told them that if the last tenant did this it should come put of there security deposit and be replaced. They said it was there before and they will not replace because it was rust stains. I asked from where and they said a leak in ceiling. That was a terrible answer. Long story short they lied to me and I had to buy a $200 area rug to make my bedroom look adequate. In terms of free heat it is technically "free", but when it is colder than 20 degrees outside you will be freezing. The draft from the windows in these old apartments is unbelievable. With central heat you have no control of it, so when it was above freezing outside you would have to keep windows open while you sleep in middle of winter. On top of that, everything breaks all of the time. I had at least 4 occasions when the lock on my own door would even get jammed and they had to come in the late evening to let me in. Nothing in the complex was of high quality. In terms of service in front office, I would always get different answers from different people. Very unorganized and they were generally unpleasant to talk to. There will also be a ton of bugs. I was on the 10th floor and I never understood how you can have so many bugs. It was kind of gross and frustrating. My apartment was kept very clean. My general advice is if you tour this place ask alot of questions and if you have concerns make them agree to fix them in writing before signing. If not, Katz Properties will make no effort to address them once you have signed.

Juneau Village Towers is a five star apartment complex located downtown Milwaukee. The apartment itself is absolutely breathtaking. I chose a private studio, and its evetything I could ask for. The whole apartment is completely upgraded with great applicances and beautiful cabinets. Each apartment comes with a fabulous view overlooking the city, or other fabulous view. The cost itself is such a great price for the location and the ammentines Juneau Village Towers offers. The location itself is perfect because of local activities that one could do, but also it is walking distance from the Metro Market. To speak on ammenties, Juneau Village Towers offers many, but the pool being my favorite. The pool is an absolute show stopper. It is a huge pool with lots of beach seating, as well as cabanas and grills. Perfect for relaxing, or to cool off on a hot summer day. From the minute I moved in to Juneau Village Towers they provided exceptional service from start to finish. The whole office staff including Anna, Jamie, Leah, and Kayla were beyond accommodating and really took effort in making an apartment complex feel like home. The matinence staff is one of the best teams to work with as well. You can put in a work order, and chances are they will come that day, or give you updates as when it will be completed. The matinence staff also took effort to be kind and made this apartment complex feel like home. The apartment complex life is absolutely wonderful as well. The complex is very diverse with various cultures and people from different walks of life that you can learn about from your neighbors. An important note is that Juneau Village Towers is very LGBTQ+ friendly. As a transgender woman, I was anxious about moving in and how people would react. The office and matinence staff was very respectful, and used preferred names, and preferred pro nouns since day one. I personally recommend this apartment complex, to anyone in the LGBTQ+ community. All in all, my expierence at Juneau Village Towers was one of the best experiences of my life. I am moving out sad, and wishing I could move this complex around the world.

When I first moved in I was terrified by the bad reviews but I can say living here hasnt been the nightmare laid out for me by those comments. The staff has been helpful, I think Ive only had one interaction that wasnt amazing and I had never seen the person before or since. The ladies in the office do their best to resolve any issues or answer questions and put in work orders- theyve gone above and beyond when I had problems with Amazon even though they manage 3 buildings and are usually keeping busy. When I have put in maintenance requests they usually come in a very timely fashion, anytime from 1 hour - 7 days depending on the issue and I always get a call from the office confirming they fixed the issue. Ive seen cockroaches in the basement (almost never alive) never in my apartment, but there are over 100 units putting their trash into a chute, which is a major luxury, that is collected in the basement so a few cockroaches here or there seems normal and like I said theyre rarely alive which shows me the management is on top of the issue. There are things that a little annoying from time to time, as with any apartment, but this place is not a terrible place to live by any stretch. Its possible my experience is the exception but after seeing other units in other buildings I dont know how convinced I am of that being the case. People dont seem to realize how hard the small staff works to keep up with the demands of such a large population of tenants, they definitely do care but theyre managing a small city themselves. I see comments about how things are not maintained and then complaints because of construction - which comes with updates and maintenance. I enjoy living here, my apartment is nicer than any other apartment Ive lived in with lots more amenities and convenient perks and its in an amazing location with the lake and its park and trails a 10 minute walk away, a grocery store & post office a 2 minute walk away, and anything in the Third Ward or downtown is within walking distance. Its definitely not an independent landlord who you can text when you need to, so if thats what youre used to this might be an adjustment- this is run by a company and it shows. Theyve got the system streamlined and have rules/regulations but it keeps things moving. As with any contract, read the fine print and know what youre signing up for.

A while back I had a bad comment about this place, but i now have to say they have completely turned it around. It seems like they renovated all of the units. I can say my unit is perfect, and everything is up to date! I haven't ever had an issue with bugs and the new managers are really nice and listen to my needs and fixed the issues i had quickly! I will be signing staying here another year!

The Good: The view is nice, it is downtown and near the lake. It's also near a grocery store you can walk to. There is a pool in the summer. The cleaning and maintenance staff are nice when you see them. The Bad: The office staff seems to have a neutral attitude at best when helping you, it is hard to get into contact with anyone outside of office hours. There will be bugs...lots of ants, a few small flying bugs if you open the windows, and I've seen one cockroach in my floor lobby. Once a month the water will randomly be off without explanation, and the emergency maintenance will not answer in my experience. The shower drains get clogged regularly. When you go to do laundry it will be a roulette game of seeing which washers and dryers are able to take your coins, and AFTER that if they will wash/dry your clothes. You will get to know your neighbors, because your apartment will smell like whatever they are cooking or smoking at the time. The apartment itself will have whistling windows, thin walls to hear everything, and heat that will make you sweat or freeze because you don't control it yourself. Lastly there is always some maintenance going on, be it the parking garage, broken elevators, or leaky ceilings in main lobbies.
