You know you’re at CSM when you see the giant ‘M’ letter on the mountainside near the campus. You’ll be excited, yet will still have an anxious knot in your throat, when you see it for the first time, and will look at it with pride (or relief if you have a long commute) all the times after that. You can take the Golden Freeway to get to school, or Route 6, or Interstate 70, determined by where you’re coming from. RTD runs buses to CSM, so check to see if you live near a stop and you could take cheap public transportation to class every day. I had an acting buddy who thought this school was called Colorado School of Mimes, so he showed up in costume and was clearly confused because this isn’t a school for mimes at all. CSM focuses on engineering mostly--anything you could imagine in the field is covered here, as well as various other scientific programs. This school’s over 150 years old and has a long and storied history. When you enroll here you can expect excellence, and in turn your employer will expect excellence from you because you went to school here. If you’re interested in any type of profession in engineering you will be very impressed by CSM. In fact, like a mime, you may even be speechless.
