Great apartment complex. Super close to everything, and the neighborhood is nice and friendly.

Nice spacious apartment, perfect for grad students. Close to the bus stops and publix is at a walk-able distance. Leasing people are friendly and courteous. However my only complaint is with maintenance. Unlike couple of other reviews here, me and my flatmates have had terrible experience with A.C. maintenance. It took us almost a year to get the A.C. fixed permanently. They kept making temporary fixes causing a lot of problem for us during the Summer. Additionally, the pest control that is being done regularly has no effect on the roach infestation. Apart from that its a beautiful complex and we have renewed our lease to live there for another year!

I like this apartment complex so much that I renewed my lease with them. Not only are they one of the most affordable apartment complexes in Gainesville, but their maintenance is great. Anytime I put in a work order, it gets done within a day or two. There are some pros and cons to this place, with way more pros. When I moved in, the apartment was spotless, however we did have a really bad roach infestation. When we told the front office about this, they sent out a pest control person the very next day to get it taken care of. We still have the occasional roach, but its not that big of a deal since my cat eats them anyway (lol). They responded to the issue promptly and took it very seriously which I'm grateful for. There's only a one-time pet fee which is great. I've already said this but the maintenance is very timely with completing work orders and fixing them. One time our AC was leaking and left a huge wet spot on our carpet, and when I told the office about it they sent someone out within the hour to fix it. The complex is in a great location with hardly any traffic problems. There's a bus stop with 2-3 buses that go to UF, with a bus arriving every 10-15 min, and it never takes more than 25-30 mins to get to campus. The complex is very quiet, and relatively safe even though there aren't any security guards. Never have a problem with filled up parking spaces because there is so much parking available. It's great. The only cons come with the neighbors with dogs. For some reason they NEVER pick up their dogs poop even though it's common courtesy to so that your neighbors don't step in it. Also, the complex has areas that have signs that say PLEASE PICK UP YOUR DOGS POOP with little baggies provided! So beware where you walk in grass since nobody reads/ignores the signs. You also have to turn rent in in-person which is a minor inconvenience. Sometimes packages get left by your door instead of being dropped off at the office, however I've never had a package stolen. Also, when they were repainting the outside of the building I've had one of the painters (not Stoneridge staff) catcall me which was pretty uncomfortable. But those are the only complaints I have with the apartment complex. Overall, it's a really great place that's extremely affordable for someone who only works part-time.

Friendly staff, cheap apartments with spacious rooms for grad students willing to share, pretty good maintenance. It's got a bad rap on Google that it doesn't deserve.

I am updating my review to give them a 5. My AC went out on a Sunday. One hour later an incredibly nice maintenance man was here and fixed it in short order. It's 93 degrees outside and humid. I didn't even get a chance to get hot. I really like Stoneridge. They accommodated my desire for a less than 12 month lease. The complex is conveniently located to UF/Shands. I have a huge apartment with low utilities. All the folks complaining about the move out costs should really have reviewed their lease before signing. They are very up front about how much it will cost to turn over the apartment and that the renter is responsible. Maintenance has been a breeze.

I moved into our apartment on August 4th. So far, I have plenty of amazing things to say about Stoneridge. From the day my roommate and I walked into the office for a tour, the office assistants have been courteous and welcoming and very honest and up front about everything on our lease. We worked with Josh, who I highly recommend for his superior service. They took off the days we were not living there off our rent for the month, which made the already great price even more affordable. Also, their pet fee is a ONE TIME pet fee, not a recurring monthly nuisance. Major kudos to them for that. When we received our keys we walked in to a very spacious apartment that you could easily tell was thoroughly cleaned. The carpet was vacuumed, the bedrooms were spotless and even the appliances (a little outdated, but perfectly functional) in the kitchen were all clean and ready to use. The bedrooms and living room are very large and the walk-in closet is amazing. We also live on the third floor so the living room has a really lovely high vaulted ceiling. The only faults I found were that there are no locks on the bedroom doors. Now, because my roommate and I are good friends that's no big deal during the day. However, we both prefer to lock our doors at night for security purposes. We asked Stoneridge and they allow us to change our door handle so long as they have an emergency spare key-- perfectly understandable to me. Second, there are no elevators so moving in up three flights of stairs was exhausting. But hey, it was a work out. I will continue to update this review as our year at Stoneridge continues, but so far so good! Would recommend to anyone.

My only issue is that my first set of neighbors were super quiet and friendly. Mostly older folks or grad students. The new batch seems to be all undergrads who are quite a bit louder. but, my choice to live here, so I give it a 4.

The complex itself is actually not bad. Close to plaza, enough parking space, maintenance respond on time. However!!! Don't trust the leasing office!! Whatever they say when you sign your lease! The manager (I think her name is Lisa) is the rudest complex manager I ever seen. To me, it's like you begging her to move in this complex. The staffs are not so friendly. Once I went to pick up a package at the leasing office, the staff simply looked at those boxes for no longer than 2 seconds and then came back and told me my package is not there. I asked her to check it again because the online record said it's signed by leasing office. Did she bother to take another look? NO. A week later, the delivery service sent me an email says my package was sent back by the leasing office!!! When I confront the staff, she claimed I didn't pick it up within a week so they returned it!!! Basically, they seems to be condescending after you sign the lease and they try to get as much money from you as they can. Don't bother to get your security deposit back, it's not going to happen, even if you clean the apartment thoroughly before you move out. If you have any other choice, I don't recommend this place.
