Sunset Heights

An El Paso Neighborhood

Summary

Pancho Villa slept here in 1910, when he was on the run from the Mexican government during the Mexican Revolution. Now, this historic neighborhood is home to college students and retirees alike, attracted by the area’s proximity to University of Texas El Paso (it’s just to the southeast of campus) and its glorious, sometimes-crumbling mansions, many of them over a hundred years old. It’s a charming, convenient neighborhood with some absolute rental gems, many of them in historic buildings.
