*UPDATE* Was FINALLY able to get through to a manager about the issues were dealing with in our apartment. It felt good to talk to someone beaut it would have been even better if I was able to give a lil input about what Im going thru instead of feelin rushed. They will be in soon to fix (hopefully) So Ill raise them to 2 stars. Another concern of mine that we had in February was the really bad stench coming from our dishwasher and why it only ran for 2 min. The maintenance guy at the time said that we just needed to run it a couple of cycles.. So we finally did that today and as Im opening the dishwasher door there are flys coming out. So I came to the conclusion that we also have a bad dishwasher with maggots ... So we will se whats happens next. *JUST WANTED TO LET FUTURE TENANTS KNOW WHATS UP*

Not sure that a Google review is a good way to rate an apartment. However, Metropolis doesn't have a lot of reviews on their individual page. Just wanna post my review here for Metropolis since I wrote on for the other page. Ah, not sure about the bug problem reported in the reviews because my unit was clean when I moved in and I haven't had a bug issue yet. Moved into a 1bed, 1 bath on March 14, 2018. Email is the best way to reach leasing office as far as I'm concerned. Responses have always been very polite and helpful. Maintenance requests were handled the next day after submitting a ticket through the resident portal. (I just couldn't figure out the heater so I called maintenance...easy task.) I moved into a clean unit and all the appliances in my unit are in great shape. The interior design is quite modern and comfy. There's always hot water running and the heater does a good job warming up the unit. I don't have noise complaints. My neighbors above me are generally pretty quiet. The apartment is pet friendly. I always see cute doggies walking in and out. Building security is good as far as I can say. You need a key to get in, front or back. There's a neat laundry room (card only, not coin) and a simple workout room. If you have packages from Amazon for example (I shop every month online), there's a special package room where you can pick them up. You don't have to walk far for trash disposal and the recycling is a plus. Parking is a nightmare if you don't use the covered garage (Yes, you have to pay for it). But street parking an option for visitors. I don't have a car so I don't have parking issues. However, the visitor parking is always taken so my guests just use street parking. To sum it up, I'm a happy resident. No apartment is without a few flaws. At first I thought I wouldn't have enough space and I worried about this and that. It's been 20 days since I moved and I like where I live. I'm down to pay for a place like Metropolis Apartments.

My experience with Local by Laramar has not always been a good one. The property itsself was well maintained and they responded well to maintainence requests. After renting a property of theirs for 2 years the biggest concern I had was the extreme lack of communication. They were practically unreachable by phone or email which was only exacerbated by their faulty online account management system. That said, during my time with them, I definitely noticed some improvements. They have had some changes of employees and management that has somewhat restored my faith in them for the most part. Specifically I'd like to reference Que. I had some issues with my lease that she was able to resolve for me. During this issue I was able to maintain open communication with her by email and surprisingly by phone. She provided service that was completely the opposite of that I had previously received. If she is a sign of the direction the company is changing toward, then I can easily see them making a comeback. Thanks again Que for your excellent assistance!

If you're desperate for a small place that's affordable, it's okay. It may be less expensive than other apartments but per square foot it ends up being one of the more pricey complexes. Other cons include: no balcony an HVAC system you can't control (I recommend a fan and a heater to get you through the inadequate climate control) no where near enough parking for everyone inclined parking surface that's impossible to maneuver when it snows the apartment boasts of a computer office, there's 1 computer and 1 printer that are frequently not functioning a small workout room where broken cardio equipment has remained for the past year was told there was a parking garage spot available for me....was later told there wasn't and that I'd be put on the waiting list and there were a lot of tenants moving the next month so it wouldn't be long....then found out I was never on the list but was put on it a couple months later....then just gave up because I figured the leasing agents had no idea what they were talking about my floor hallway always had a strong bad smell, and even after replacing the carpet with laminate wood, the awful smell remained difficult to move furniture in and out, the place is tight and if you're furniture doesn't fit in the small elevators, good luck finding someone to help you move especially if you're on one of the higher floors, of course you can always pay extra and you will Pros: a small laundry room, if you time it right you may not need to go off site to do your laundry, not coin operated though walking distance to a few restaurants, Trader Joe's, hospitals (convenient if you work at one of them) solid, quiet building, I never heard my neighbors, windows also did a great job of cancelling outside noise real wood floors inside the units, not like newer apartments with laminate wood that peels away if you drip water on it maintenance was on top of it, anytime I had an issue, it was fixed either next day or within the week Just wanted others to know a little bit more than what the leasing agents may offer.

I've lived here for SIX YEARS and I love it. It has an amazing view, the office people are incredibly nice, and the building is just incredibly beautiful! Yes, there are problems, but I can guarantee that the problem will be gone in a max of one day. I recommend it!

Excellent Management, apartments are all updated, bright and sunny with very nice layouts. Their maintenance team is always punctual and quick to fix things. Lived in Sublime for a year and a half, sad to leave it. Great location and great apartment!
