My parents live here. It is near a great park. Has a good walking area for dogs. It is also near Krogers and a bar that has Karaoke on Satudays. Maintainace was quick to respond to an air conditioner issue we had.

Office never answers the phone, and maintenance is slow. They absolutely will raise your rate every year regardless of inflation. Edit: Office has gotten a little better about answering the phone. Management was completely replaced a few months ago. There are no more community events that get planned, but the receptiveness of office staff has slightly improved. I raised one star for effort.

The Commons office has some very understanding staff and I havent had any issues with the neighborhood itself but their maintenance team is trash. I came home to a bat flying in my apartment, which was locked, and was told that it wasnt an emergency and that no one was coming out to help. This was only relayed to me after 3 phone calls and half an hour waiting outside in the cold with just my coat and phone. Prior to this incident, I was without heat and after calling the after hour maintenance line ended up having to spend a night in the freezing cold because no one thought it important enough to call back and no one was sent until the next day. Needless to say my apartment is still cold at 75 degrees. I am a firm believer that everyone should be comfortable in their own home and I currently am not if rodents/pests can get into my apartment even when windows and doors are locked and the people who I pay monthly maintenance fees to dont see it as an issue nor emergency.

DO NOT live here if you are not a smoker. The smoke from other apartments will seep in and greatly affect your air quality. It gives the apartment a very trashy smell. The only reason its not 1 star is because of the friendly and responsive staff. Maintenance responds within a day of any request I've made and see the job through to completion.

The apartments are underwhelming. DO NOT live here if you are not a smoker unless you are comfortable breathing the same air quality as living with a smoker. You will smell smoke often if there is a smoker in your building. Not just cigarettes but marijuana too. However, friendly and responsive staff, maintenance responds within a day of any request I've made and see the job through to completion.

A good apartment, is not somewhat expensive. I had no real problems till I moved out. First off they have a ridiculous notice of sixty days. I don't know about anyone else, but I hardly ever know my plans sixty days on advance. I gave them thirty days notice I was moving out nov. 4th because I had bought my my own my place. Because this was not sixty days in advance they charged me another month worth of rent. In addition my move out date was after my lease expired, so they also raised my rent by about 150 dollars to matche the marker value. As if that wasn't enough the added a dam month to month of fee of a other 100 dollars. In a sense they charged me over 1200 dollars when they knew I was planning on staying there a week at best. As you can imagine I wasn't happy, but I paid it in the hopes that I could simply leave and not have to deal with them again. About a month later they sent me a bill for cleaning and are not attempting to charge me another 800 dollars to replace the carpet, a carpet that looked the same when I moved out, as it did when I moved in, and any damage done would have been done when matienence had to rip up a corner of it to deal with a coolant leak by the heater. This is an issue I still have to take of, and I doubt itshe going to end well. Over all, if you move in, I don'the recommend moving out. They will screw you.
