Enjoy a concert in Grant Park, spend an afternoon in Historic Fourth Ward Park, or bike the beautiful urban green space along the Atlanta Beltline.

True to its guiding eco-friendly principles, Glenwood East embrace high-density "smart growth" design. The architecture offers a transitional flavor - combining fine traditional elements with attractive modern accents of brick and granite. Very nice apartments but there are literally no parking spaces. How are people supposed to live, commute, have social lives, etc. if they cannot find parking for themselves or their visitors?

I don't stay here, but I want to leave a comment about the management. The comments are being answered and they don't appear generic. The person seems intelligent and only wants to know what's going on in the community they're managing. In this urban setting, or anywhere now in Atlanta, things happen everyday. I would want the people who I give my money to secure a roof over my head to show this kind of concern. That's a start, and what I wrote, I actually saw! Have a great week, and to anyone staying here, look at the whole picture, and think about this: This community's still young! And it seems they will do all they can to make you happy.

I've lived at Glenwood East for about 8 months now and I am very happy to call this place home. I love the neighborhood. You are close to Little 5, Edgewood, Krog street, EAV, and the Beltline! What else could you ask for?! There is a great sense of community between the residents here. I am so grateful to have respectful neighbors and management. Big ups to Katie, Lauren, my girl Jessica at the front desk for organizing initiatives like wine and cheese night and summer pool parties for everyone to enjoy together. The ladies that run this office are always very professional, proactive and a pleasure to see giving tours around the complex. I highly recommend Glenwood East to all my friends and if you are looking for a place in Atlanta we would love to the fam. Cheers!

Katie and Lauren are hands down the absolute best! Every apartment complex has its own problems, but these two ladies listen to concerns and take action. The lighting issue some people mention have been fixed, the fire alarm used to go off all the time and they put in security measures so it doesn't happen and the garage door has been fixed for quite some time now. As far as animals, there were people that did not pick up after their pets, but that is all good now. Trash valet had a few hiccups, but Katie and Lauren have made sure that the supervisor of the third party company does our property. This place is so convenient (right outside the city but close enough to be 5-10 minutes away). It is in walking distance of EAV which is a super fun, funky community. Rent is an unnecessary evil, but it is on the lower end of comparable places in the Atlanta area. The maintenance staff is great and will follow up to make sure requests are not only fulfilled, but that it was completed to your satisfaction. All in all, anything that you need to address, good or bad, Katie and Lauren are here for you so there is no reason not to love this community!

I originally came here looking for the office hours, but then I fell into the rabbit hole and ended up in the review section. I never write reviews, but after reading Symphony's review (below) I felt like I needed to throw in my two cents. I'm currently on my third lease renewal, and I can tell you right now that if this place was as bad as the other reviewers are saying, then I would not still be here. Anyone calling this place an "overpriced ghetto" has obviously never lived in a ghetto and is using this forum as a way to express her unsatisfactory experience here (of which I know nothing about personally). This place is far from "ghetto". Is this place perfect? No, but what apartment complex is? I've lived in 6 different states and 3 different countries so I've experienced many different rental properties, and in my personal experience this place is solid. Here's my feedback about this one: 1) Since the management changeover about a year and half to two years ago, things have vastly improved. The current staff consisting of Candice, Brittany, and Alex are fantastic. They are professional, polite, responsive, and helpful. The management maintains clear and effective communication with its residents via email (and now even text messages) about everything from package deliveries to service outages and other general announcements. They enforce parking infractions fairly and always give enough notice to residents who violate the rules. Don't want your car booted or towed? Then don't park where you're not supposed to. Period. 2) Maintenance issues are addressed fairly quickly. 3) The property and the grounds are clean and well-maintained. I see landscape crews out here quite regularly, and the pool is clean and well-maintained. 4) The apartments themselves are nice and for the most part the property is quiet (except the occasional loud groups of people that are coming home late night from the bars on the weekends, but you'll find those people anywhere). 5) Has there been crime here? Yes. Cars have been broken into in the parking lot before (nothing recently) and I can recall a few notices sent out about a few apartment break-ins, but those were isolated incidents and I haven't heard about any in a fairly long time. But hey, we live in the city people. Crime happens everywhere including Buckhead, Inman Park, the Highlands, etc. The only thing you can do is be careful and smart and even that isn't always enough. My point is that I feel just as safe here as I do in any other of surrounding neighborhoods in Atlanta. 6) There is a "bark park" for dogs and two other dedicated areas for pets. There are also fines for people who don't follow the pet rules, but I can't speak to how often fines are imposed or if they ever are. They should be though if they're not. I know a couple of people who let their tiny dogs off leash and it's super annoying. Leash your dogs people. Overall, I have been very satisfied with my experience here, and if I were to point out any problems it's not with the property and the management, but rather with the GUESTS of the people who live here. A large majority of the residents I have met are very nice people. But it seems that their visitors are sometimes less than ideal. For example, it sucks to have a holiday weekend and have the pool filled with more guests than residents. This needs to be addressed. It also sucks to have random people lingering and hanging out in the parking lot and in front of the buildings during the day and especially late at night. This, however, has not been so much of an issue under the new management. Bottom line, people can suck sometimes. But they can suck anywhere. But to give this place a 1-star review is unfair and inaccurate. Glenwood East is well managed, clean, safe, and fairly priced for the area, which is growing and developing into a very nice little Atlanta neighborhood that is close to everything.
