High Ridge apartments were perfect for us. The staff is fantastic: those in the office and those in maintenance. Everyone is extremely attentive and always courteous. Our apartment was recently renovated, as are most, with modern appointments: granite countertop kitchen, brushed nickel fixtures, hardwood-like flooring. There's relatively good amount of storage space compared to other complexes. The pool is great! We didn't use the workout or laundry areas, but they seemed nice. The whole complex is pretty quiet and doesn't feel like other complexes that try too hard to cater to UGA students. This is a place for everyone, students, young professionals, families, retirees.

I have lived at high ridge apartments for one year with my twin brother and am renewing another year lease. I have been very happy with the maintenance team and the office staff. We have never had a missing package, and they have fixed numerous maintenance orders from toilets to appliances. We keep our apartment in top shape, and it is easier to do so when the staff is very supportive. Furthermore, our neighbor across the way had a stroke and had to be moved to another unit due to accessibility. The leasing office moved heaven and earth to accommodate him with his current medical condition. They genuinely care about the tenants that live here and go out of their way to promote a great community.

I just recently moved here and I could not be happier. By far the most courteous and professional staff that i have been around. Sheila and Kim make you feel at home and welcomes me with a smile every time i see them. The maintenance man (Gator) is also top notch and willing to fix any issue you may have promply. Truly a great environment to live in.

I have only lived in the Athens area for a short while, but Mrs. Kim in the office makes me feel right at home. I have NEVER experienced such professionalism and compassion at ANY apartment complex I have ever lived in. Office management and maintenance staff are phenomenal. If I have a work order, it legitimately gets done immediately. I cannot say enough about this property and management staff! I look forward to SEVERAL years ahead!

My daughter lives in this apartment complex. I feel like we looked at every apartment complex in our price range before choosing High Ridge. That was over a year ago. We recently signed our second lease with them. There is not anywhere else in Athens that you can get this nice of an apartment for your money. An added bonus is that the office staff and the maintenance staff are very prompt, professional, and courteous. Just recently, I called up to the office to report an issue with the toilet in the second bathroom. I gave them the wrong apartment number and was corrected immediately. They know my daughter's apartment number! It made me feel very appreciative that they have taken a personal interest in knowing her and remembering her. As for the toilet, I reported the issue on a Saturday morning. Technically, it was not considered an "emergency" and would normally have a work order put in for Monday. However, I explained that we had several people in the apartment for the weekend in order to clean and decorate. She said that she could not promise anything, but she would see what she could do. The toilet was repaired within the hour!!! I was amazed and so very grateful! One bathroom, all weekend, with all those people, was going to be a nightmare. In the past, we have had an issue with the stove. It was REPLACED. We had an issue with a leaking window. It was REPLACED. I just think that is phenomenal service. The neighbors are great too. This is a very quiet complex. I am truly very happy to have my daughter living here.

I moved here five months ago, and I couldn't be happier. I looked at every apartment complex in Athens, and I think I got the best bang for my buck here. My remodeled apartment is beautiful, and the complex is beautifully landscaped and extremely well kept. The management staff has truly gone the extra mile to make me feel welcome, and the maintenance staff has taken care of any minor problems I've had quickly. The residents are super-friendly, and it's great having a gym, beautiful pool and tennis courts on site. My balcony faces the woods, and almost every night I watch deer feed in the field below. I'm pleasantly surprised at how quiet this complex is. I highly recommend moving here.

High Ridge management is extremely uncooperative. High Ridge is managed by a non-Georgia corporation, and your rent bills come from out of State. Maintenance is quick, but they don't fix the problems. We had to call 3 different times for a refrigerator issue, and it's still not fixed. High Ridge has a very limited view on what is considered "normal wear and tear." The water bill is outrageously high, and they don't give you an accurate estimation as to what the electricity bill will be. Don't live on the bottom floor, you will hear every step above you. We've had an infestation of these tiny roly-poly bugs since we moved in, they die b/c of the pest control, but you will have to vacuum them up. They charge you for EVERY little thing on move out. Since living hear I have TERRIBLE headaches almost daily, and I don't know if it's apartment related or not, but I didn't have this issue at other places. TONS of children live and play in the parking lot, you have to constantly be aware of hitting one of them. I agree with the the review "management sucks!" They were extremely nice getting us to live here, but in trying to keep us here they failed terribly. Yes they're cute from the outside, and even from the inside, but the buildings are OLD and not worth what they charge. Also, they charge a pet "fee" in addition to a deposit which doesn't cover anything, a lot of places charge a fee which covers the cost of replacing carpet if your pet ruins it, but this place charges the fee and then makes you pay for the damage on top of it, not counting what the fee paid towards. Basically, it's just extra cash in their wallets. Don't even stop to look in, just keep driving and find something cheaper.

Management is legitimately nice, but there were some major issues. For one, when we moved in, we had a bug problem. It wasn't so much that there were bugs crawling everywhere...but there were dead roly polys in several places in our unit. Not a big knock though, because we didn't have a bug problem beyond that. Maintenance was a little...well...reluctant to fix a couple things. Rather than replace things that broke very quickly upon us beginning our lease, they persisted to try to downplay the issues. The place itself was nice enough. Feels more spacious than the square footage, and having a garbage disposal was pretty nice. The landscaping in the complex is really nice, as well as the lighting. They were also good enough to salt walkways and post freeze warnings in visible places in the winter. The dumpster was pretty far from our unit however. It was a little bit of a trek to take the trash out. I don't think I'd live here again. There were definitely some things going for this place, but overall, I wouldn't recommend it unless you couldn't find a better place. It would not take much on their part to make this a better experience, but whether they do it or not is a completely different story.

If they would take care of the apartments the way they take care of the landscaping I would've maybe gave it 1 more star. They only changed the filter for the Hvac once in the year we were here. Mold around bottom of window sills and we overheard several other tenants with the same problems. This year was the sickest my wife and 2 little girls have ever been. Tennis court desperately needs refinishing and the car wash station was without water 10 months of the year we were here. The only thing this complex has going for it is cheap rent and attractive landscaping...oh- and a swimming pool in the summer.
