Best Place to live on Campus. The staff is amazing, and I have enjoyed using the weight room and pool during my time here. And you can't beat the location. Highly Recommend!

Great location but awful service. The place is bad at communicating with the costumer, the maintenance appts aren't scheduled, there is no email or message before they come, the other day they just came in while I was sleeping and changed the lights which is great but nobody even ordered the service and they did it without telling us that they were going to do it. In addition to that the AC doesn't work, you can't actually control the temperature that your apartment is at, it is mostly pretty cold. They advertise as a place that does have AC but they really don't. Another thing is showers, the shower pressure is awful and all of the people that live here told the staff about it but nothing has been done since September. In addition to that the lightening in the rooms is pretty bad and it is hard to study there. Oh also there is no study launches, it is just a couple of tables in the waiting space area which sucks. Honestly for this price it is not worth it, there is a lot of other more affordable places to live that will provide you with all of the things I listed above. Whenever anyone reports anything the stuff just doesn't do anything about it but whenever u make a mistake in your rent by a dollar, their accountant will blow up your phone and make you pay a $20 late fee...

Dena is the best property manager! I've lived in several places in Ann Arbor and she is super nice and gives out candy to the residents! Compared to all the other apartments in Ann Arbor like Varsity, ArborBLU, Landmark, etc--THIS IS THE BEST LOCATION FOR THE RIGHT PRICE. If you are interested in a tour of the property, ask for Denise or Kelly. Also, the receptionist Trisha is very approachable! She looks out for the residents :)

Honestly my experience here was overall very smooth and I would recommend it, assuming their prices haven't increased too much. I've never once had any problems with management, maintenance, or any other employees, and every interaction I've had has been pleasant. The location is amazing, the amenities are pretty solid, and I even had a great view of the stadium! I was lucky to live in one of the remodeled apartments (not sure what the others are like) and although it was petite, it had granite countertops, A/C, was furnished (albeit with clearly used furniture), decent-sized bedrooms (with mirrors to make them feel bigger). All for $880/mo + elec for a 2BR/1BA. I do have a couple complaints though. First, the WiFi could be a bit spotty at times, though it may have more to do with coverage than reliability (I only had problems in my bedroom, never in my living room). Either way, I'd recommend they install some WiFi range extenders (especially toward the ends of the halls)! Second, my cold water would occasionally lose pressure and regain pressure a few seconds later. I'm not sure if this is because I was on the top floor, but it was somewhat irritating. Never seemed to happen with hot water though. I really think some of the other reviews are unjustified so here are some of my responses: 1. Read your lease. Most of the reviews that complain about unfairness are people who didn't read their lease. 2. Pay your rent on time (see #1). I'm not sure why you would expect anything other than late fee(s) when you pay late. They even give you a 48-hour grace period. You're all adults. 3. Ann Arbor is expensive to live in, get over it. Please show me a cheaper place around campus with the same amenities, quality, and location as U-Towers. I lived in Park Plaza for a year as well and paid more than I did in U-Towers for a relatively subpar apartment and an extremely subpar management company. Sure, if you compare your rent to your friend's or parent's, it might seem high at first. Do they live 2 blocks from central campus? Have a gym and pool in their building? Package receiving? 24 hour front desk? 4. This really seems like a rather minor issue, but the coffee machine was not out of service THAT much. There was a stretch of a couple weeks when the machine seemed to be having issues, but other than that it's almost always been available. Frankly I was personally more interested in the free tea. Either way, I don't think this could make or break my decision to live here... 5. I was here during the laundry room fire too. I was annoyed too. I really don't see how it was U-Towers' fault though. Clean the lint trap before you dry!

Apartments are OK. Maintenance is very quick to respond, nice guys. Ladies at front desk could use some customer service training and maybe a spell check program on the flyers they put out, as well as 95% of their unprofessional responses to reviews like these online. The coffee machine is nice, when it is working (just over half the time). The past two weeks the fire alarm has been going off nonstop, sometimes for 5 seconds or a full minute. I guess getting this fixed is not a concern for Gerald (building sup.), supposedly the operability of the fire alarm system is not a safety hazard to the facility from his perspective. Be wary when signing a lease and make sure you know what you're getting into. Do your due diligence, as you would any other time you're spending $10,000+ on something.

Customer service is outstanding, I am so glad I signed a lease here. The renovations that they did to the apartments and the common areas are amazing. The gym is by far my favorite new addition to the building, I can not wait to be able to work out in there every morning before class.

My roommate and I have lived here for 3 months and we love this place. Everything is perfect. It is possibly the nearest apartment you can find on central campus, and the price is acceptable. Front desk is really nice, especially when you claiming your package. Maintenance staff respond quickly and they are great people. Heat is also good. It is true that you will be charged fees for lost keys or late payment, but if you take your own responsibility and obey the rules, you will be totally fine.

Fantastic location, fantastic staff and fantastic service. Ever since I first talked with Denise on the phone I knew that I was in good hands. She was very easy to work with as I entered into my lease while I was across the country. Located in downtown Ann Arbor it takes less than 10 minutes to walk anywhere on central campus of U-Mich. (I'm a grad student in the school of public health and it takes 8 minutes to walk there). When we first moved in we had a couple little issues, but they were cleared up very quickly by our wonderful handyman Austin. He came within 10 minutes of our problem and he had it fixed within another 15 minutes. It is a little pricey but the location and the service are fantastic. I would definitely recommend.

I love my remodeled room. Clean modern shower with great water pressure. Granite countertops. Wooden floors. I wasn't interested in something super luxurious, like Landmark and Varsity, because I don't really care about the vanity aspect of living. I just wanted a place to call my own on a cheap budget, and I can get that here! Great location to Central Campus. I like how I can come back home for lunch or anytime I have an hour's break. Super convenient. I've never had a problem here. As long as you are clean, timely, and responsible, you will find that UTowers is a great place to live.
