Everything at this apartment complex is good from the proximity to campus to having lively things to do around. The only problem that you will continuously experience here are the frequent power outages. Id say we average about 6-7 outages a year. Sometimes when no inclement weather is in sight. Not sure if thats a knock on the power grid but the whole complex seems to experience the same issues.

The complex is very old, so there's some issues that arise because of it, but the maintenance team is top notch. They fix all issues extremely fast and are a very kind, helpful team. It's a lovely 20 min walk to the university or a 5 min walk to the university bus system, and, for the price, it's the perfect location. Only big issue is during football game days or if you're a sports fan, then it's great and a non-issue! The proximity to the stadium means that there's tons of people everywhere so keep that in mind. Also, no AC so summers a brutal. But the maintenance team will install them for you if you buy one and ask. Heating works wonderfully. Wash machine/dryer are not in unit but in building.

I loved these apartments. I lived at Nob Hill for 2 years, and would never have left if I hadn't been moving to a different city. My apartment was beautiful and in great condition; maintenance always arrived the same day I called, for any issue; and the staff in the leasing center were really helpful and nice. They even remembered me every time I came in to the office, despite the fact that I had no reason to come in often during those two years... The lease was really reasonable. My building was quite quiet, and I never had any difficulty with my neighbors.

Great people and apartments! Very responsive maintenance staff. A little on the expensive side.

I've lived in and seen a lot of apartments around Ann Arbor and Nob Hill is really the best, if you are looking for something within walking distance to campus or downtown. The best thing is the maintenance, which is amazing. For example, my ceiling fan was wiggling and when I called to report the problem, they came the same day and replaced the entire fan. And then my roommate called to ask if they could change her overhead light to a ceiling fan, and they did it the next day. I am telling you, these people are amazing. It is like this for every single thing we ask them to do, and I have lived here for two years now. I can't even express how wonderful it is to have repairs and other maintenance done immediately. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Rent is incredibly reasonable, usually about the same price as places much farther away like Signature Club (where I also considered living). In general the other tenants are very pleasant and respectful. Overall I have had a fantastic experience. My two complaints are the thin floors and the air recirculation. Some of the apartments have hardwood floors and the noise can be problematic. Last year, for example, I heard my upstairs neighbor's alarm -- which was her phone, on VIBRATE -- every day. I think the vibrations went through her bedside table, through the floor, and right into my ear. It was ridiculous that a phone on vibrate could wake someone up in the apartment below. The second complaint is that the cold air return vents into the same place as the air intake for the heaters (the laundry room). This means that if there is an odor in someone else's apartment, it will be in your apartment. This is particularly troubling with cigarette smoke, because tenants are allowed to smoke in their apartments. This was a big problem for me last year and although the maintenance people changed all the filters and were very nice and apologetic, they couldn't fix the problem. I think this is a design flaw with the heating system and there isn't much they can do. Even with these complaints, though, I love this place so much and would highly recommend it.
